He specialised in the new disciplines that brought about the global communication revolution, including seminal developments in data networking protocols and network management. After this he moved on to Management Consulting with eight years at PA Consulting in London, then five years establishing Orbian, an early supply-chain-finance joint-venture for SAP and Citibank, followed by several other senior IT management positions within the financial services industry. In 2009, he co-founded CloudTrade as CEO, with the specific remit to use computational processing and cognitive reasoning to automate the capture and interpretation of business documents. In 2018, David and the CloudTrade team secured over £2million of investment from Calculus Capital to help fuel expansion into new markets. CloudTrade continues to grow, and now has over 40 employees with offices in London and Newcastle (UK) and Boston (USA).
